In 2016, we established a relationship with Once Upon a Child here in Des Moines, which allowed our friends to donate new & lightly-used clothing, toys, and baby accessories to the clinic and we would deliver them to the consignment store on Hickman Road in Urbandale.
Instead of money, Once Upon a Child would give us gift cards, which we would then give to our at-risk mothers who are in need of baby accessories. This gift empowers them to purchase what they find necessary.
A few months ago, Once Upon a Child came under new management and we recently met with the new store owner, Garen, who committed his support to our mission of empowering women and saving babies! And so, our partnership is renewed…with a twist!
Now, our friends can deliver your new & lightly-used articles directly to the consignment store, and let them know that you’re donating it to IVHCare (or InnerVisions HealthCare). Don’t forget your name, email, and phone number, and they’ll give us that information so we can add it as an in-kind donation to our system. It’ll save us a trip to the consignment store, and give you an opportunity to check out Once Upon a Child in case you need something for your friends & family!
